I was once gifted a gorgeous jar of Truffle Salt from a dear friend, and loved putting it on my eggs and fried mushrooms for breakfast… This is a great way to seriously boost the flavour of dishes, season vegetables and meat and to make fairly tasteless button mushrooms taste amazing – just fry in a little butter and finish with the Porcini Salt! You can find dried porcini mushrooms at quality fruit & vegetable grocers, markets and online.
- 40 g dried porcini mushrooms
- 80 g rock salt
- Add porcini mushrooms to a very dry mixer bowl. Mill for 30 sec/speed 9/MC on.
- Add rock salt to mixer bowl. Mill for 30 sec/speed 9/MC on.
- Store in a jar in the fridge for at least 12 months.
