thermomix beef madras

This is a classic Skinnymixers recipe and my debut into the world of cooking curries many years ago. A flavour-packed gravy with tender beef, this fantastic recipe for those who are seeking a low calorie meal which is still delicious. This recipe has been reworked using fresh ingredients, with Abi Ulgiati’s ‘Beef Madras’ as a guideline for quantities.

  1. Made tonight for the first time and we quite enjoyed it. After reading quite a lot of negative comments on facebook I followed the recommendations I found there and added quite a bit of salt, and a little cracked pepper.

I followed the recipe using the option of varoma temp in the last step, unfortunately we found the rump to be a little over cooked (which was disappointing considering it was a decent cut of meat).

Also found it to separate and go watery? Easily fixed by giving it a good stir.

    Served with rice.

  2. 5 stars
rich and complex flavours, cheap and easy recipe
the kids LOVED it which was a huge plus…will be adding this to our regular rotation for sure 🙂

  3. I love, love, love this recipe. We know it off by heart we have it so often. It’s such a hit with the kids!
