  1. Hands Down one of the best curries I’ve ever made! Such a traditional, flavour packed Curry that takes little to no effort to make. Goes great with Beef and lamb. Also tasted amazing in the slow cooker with lamb forequarter chops too! Thanks for another awesome recipe Nik!

  2. OH MY GOSHT!!! this is the best curry ive ever made!! all 5 kids inhaled it and hubby has requested it be on high rotation.
If you havent tried this one yet YOU ARE MISSING OUT!!!
    Thanks Nik x

  3. Hi my ingredients say a handful of chopped coriander but the last step states to stir through a handful of chopped spinach? Is it both or just the coriander? Thanks.

  4. Are the slow cooker instructions correct? In ALOI there is also a step five to add a few more ingredients.. I assume step 5 will need to be completed prior to adding to slow cooker (not moving to slow cooker at step 4). Can anyone please confirm? love this recipe

  5. The chicken tikka masala was my favourite until I tried this one. Very similar but absolutely delicious (I made it with chicken).

  6. Just had this for dinner. Miss 7 gave it double thumbs up. Both kids cleaned their plates. It’s an awesome flavour with no overwhelming heat, I did leave out the chilli…
Have been told to add it to the meal planner.
    Thank you Nik.

  7. OMG! BG! Where have you been all my life,??? Made this for the first time today, The BEST curry I have ever eaten. Big call, but it beats the BC in my books. I actually didn’t want to share……back away from my curry.

  8. This was one recipe that I never rushed to make as I had never made or had it before. The skinny group started the banter and I was like “now or never!” Seriously kicking myself for leaving it too long. Lesson learnt. Hubby reckons it’s up there as his favourite. Any leftovers (a stretch at times) goes into freezers for work lunches! A vey fragrant curry with yummy warm undertones. Scrumptious!

  9. I made this for my new boyfriend last week and wow- what a response I got!! He told me its the best homemade curry he has EVER had (and he’s had a lot) and easily as good as any decent curry house. Thanks Nik for an amazing recipe.

  10. Absolutely the most amazing dish I have ever made. We have eaten Indian in Sydney, Adelaide and Whyalla and none of them compare to this dish. It will without a doubt be a family favourite.
Thank you for sharing such great recipes!

  11. Delicious! Thank you Nik for another yummy recipe. The flavours in this dish are amazing. Would definitely do the slow cook option next time and add more meat. Thank you! X

  12. Another amazing curry! My husband is impressed with the great meals I am cooking. The kids have given tick of approval too, however they only want the sauce on rice. I’m happy with that.

  13. Loved this recipe but wanted to make 2 curries at the same time and unfortunately only have one Thermomix. Groceries can also get pretty expensive so I wanted to used a cheaper cut of meat like chuck steak (which can be quite tough if it’s not been slow cooked). My solution was to use my Cuisineart pressure cooker. I blended the ingredients in a small hand blender, browned the cubed beef in the Cuisineart and then cooked the beef with all ingredients (less the coconut milk) on high pressure for 20 minutes. When the beef was soft and tender I took off the lid and added the coconut milk until the dish heated up again.

Just like that I had two curries to serve all at the same time. Flavours were fab!
