A Little Taste of Spain: Spanish Rice

Paella is one of the most famous Spanish foods, however many people don’t know that the word “Paella” actually refers to the pan in which the rice is cooked. This is a traditional Paella recipe, cooked in the thermal cooker for a quicker, healthier version that is just as delicious and a dish you are sure to cook often.

  1. Made tonight to go with the chorizo and potato stew.

Left out the chorizo and chicken as we already had meat in the main. Otherwise followed all instructions.

Absolutely delicious, would be great on its own and was stellar with the stew.

    Good size portions.

  2. Just wondering would this be ok to freeze & reheat on the stove> We are going camping & looking for easy meals.

  3. Served this with the Peri Peri Chicken and it was delicious! I have a paella pan so I finished it in the pan using all the sauce. Highly recommend. We will have this regularly!

  4. Made this on Sunday night for a couple of people who loved Paella and everyone loved it.
So much flavour and super easy.
New favourite in this household – have already made a second batch to freeze for lunches

  5. Another simple yet amazing, great tasting meal. Bursting with flavour, would be great as a side dish but we also enjoyed it so much just an easy tea on its own.

  6. Aah Nik another amazing recipe! Followed this one nearly to a T and it was so tasty! Bought ingredients to make the Basque Chicken, came home and started making Paprika Chicken. I was a bit stumped at first what happened to the ingredients in the recipe but it wasn’t until I went to do the chicken that I realized what I had done. No matter! The base for your recipes makes a fantastic blending of recipes and tastes. Thank you for all the inspiration you give us in sharing your recipes and wealth of knowledge.

  7. Made both versions of this tonight! Used bratwurst instead of chorizo, didn’t add chicken as I paired with paprika chicken, still such lovely flavours and I added extra veg to both versions!! Regular and low carb! Equally delicious!!
    Thanks Mixers!! 😉
