Tortilla Thermomix Recipe

ALToS: Tortilla de Patatas

Tortilla is an iconic Spanish dish, loved across Spain by locals and tourists alike which can be found served hot or cold and as both a Tapa and Pincho dish. Traditionally, it is made with a confit of potato and onion with a massive calorie count; the Thermomix recipe below is a healthier version that still tastes amazing and authentic.

  1. I agree – quick and easy and really delicious. I usually make the low carb version. Today I used smoked eggs in it – and that was simply amazing. The smokey bacon flavour without the calories.

  2. This is a regular accompaniment when I cook a big breakfast for my family. I cook in the toastie maker, while my pans are in use cooking other things. So tasty and simple!

  3. Made the low carb version today….I cannot understand how so few ingredients make such a delicious dish. I only made half the recipe as I wanted to use up my leftover cauliflower. I will definitely be making this regularly. Thank you Nikalene!

  4. Wow this is fabulous made the LCJF version with chorizo & cauliflower. Had the oven on so put it in there to cook & was fantastic. Can’t wait for the leftovers for lunch today.

  5. First recipe from ALToS – nice easy dinner for hubby and I after a big weekend. He wants me to add tomatoes next time lol.

  6. Kids are so hard to please, however the Tortilla de Patatas is a major hit.
Very simple dish, which can be served as a main or side using everyday pantry/ fridge ingredients.
    Highly recommend 😁

  7. Absolutely devine! I used the wrong pan and didn’t quite agitate correctly (check out the video on Facebook!) but it is SO yummy. Bring in the middle of a run of night shift, this was a simple recipe that I could do for my family. And did I mention it tastes amazing?! It reheats well and is so versatile. Thanks again Nik!

  8. This recipe is so incredibly delicious!! I subbed the potato for cauliflower to make it lower carb, and replaced the onion with 2 cloves of garlic due to an allergy and it was still gorgeous! This will be a regular breakfast component for me from now on – 10/10

  9. Declared a winner by Mr 5 and the whole family! Empty plates and second helpings type winner! This goes straight on regular rotation, and will work perfectly for breakfasts, lunchboxes and dinner. Thank you for another brilliant, tasty family favourite!!

  10. Made this tonight and will be my go to side for sure. Love it, easy and tasty. I substituted the potato with cauliflower for low carb. Worked perfectly, although my flipping needs some practice 🤣🤣

  11. So quick and easy to make and so delicious! My kids loved it for breakfast but will make for school lunches. It reminded us of the tortilla my husbands (late) Mum used to make, she was from Peru, so that was nice. Thanks Nik for another lovely recipe x
