Thermomix Naan Bread Recipe

We get asked so often in Skinnymixers… ‘What’s the best Thermomix Naan Bread recipe?

This recipe is 10/10 FANTASTIC. I am so appreciative to Lailah Rose for allowing me to blog it.

Indian curry feast with Thermomix Naan
It really is the best Thermomix Naan recipe and goes perfectly with curries from ‘A Little Taste of India’ Cookbook

The Skinnymixers Facebook Community has been loving this Thermomix Naan recipe for years now.

Here are some of the best tips or hacks for the perfect Naan.

  • If you need Gluten Free Naan – use GF Laucke Bread flour as a straight swap.
  • Make sure your rolling surface and hands are covered in flour, this helps if your dough is a little too sticky.
  • Feel free to change the fillings – if you don’t like spinach… no problem!
  • Nigella Seeds can be difficult to come by. Grandma’s Pantry Online stocks them and your local Indian Supermarket or The Source Bulk Foods should also have them.

Skinnymixers Guest Recipe: Lailah's Garlic, Cheese & Spinach Naan

  1. This knocks the socks off the plain naan we used to enjoy with all of nikalenes recipes. This is my ” go to” recipe. Love it

  2. So easy and fast and yummy! And a great way to use up silverbeet in the garden…And let’s be honest, when has silverbeet ever been exciting? This is now my go-to side to accompany/jazz up a soup dinner.

  3. Who knew making naan could be so easy?! Love this foolproof recipe, have made it over and over again, a delicious addition to Nik’s curries!

  4. Loved this recipe. So easy and so delicious. I’m going to make these every time I cook a curry. Amazing. Thank you! X

  5. Soooo good and easy to make! Perfect with the Butter Chicken for us, will be a regular in our house wth Skinnymixer’s curries – thank you!!

  6. These were amazing. Kids loved them and made me promise to make them with every curry. So easy to make. Made me feel like a chef!!

  7. Yay! I’ve been looking for a naan bread recipe forever that works every time! This is fantastic. No more making curry and buying naan bread from the local Indian take away. The recipe is so easy to follow and full proof! I can add almost any filling to it and flavours. Thank you so much for this recipe.

  8. I couldn’t keep up with the demand on this naan bread. We were all shocked at how good it was. Store bought Indian is a thing of the past in this house.

  9. This naan is seriously amazing and so easy to make! I will admit I changed it slightly ? I like my garlic to be a bit more ‘knock ya socks off’ so i rubbed a whole crushed clove of garlic over each bread at the end of step 6. Soooooo good!

  10. I loved these. They were soooo tasty. I made them about a month ago and making again tonight because the kids and husband keep asking me to make it again. Only thing I did different was put the butter on first because I hadn’t read it properly but they were still a huge success ?

  11. These were delicious. Put Biocheese with the spinach in the first one to make them dairy-free for my youngest who can’t have dairy, then as per recipe for the rest. Love recipes where it’s so easy to cater for and please everyone

  12. Made these for the first time tonight and it won’t be the last! Everybody loved them. Thanks for great recipe.

  13. I’d love to know if anyone has tried these gluten free too. I’m still trying to find a decent gluten free substitute for “bakers flour”.

  14. I made these to go aside the butter chicken. I found they lacked flavour so I changed it up a bit and minced some garlic and smeared that over then followed the rest of the step. The mini foodies (3 & 7) said the ones with extra garlic had heaps more flavour and make more of those ones. Can’t wait to have more time to experiment more with different flavours.

  15. These are so easy to make and just devine! I’ve made a few naan breads and this by far is the best!

  16. Made three batches today!! My kids ate the first for lunch just by themselves. My dad and kids ate the second batch with Greek Lamb and lettuce and I made my brother some too. Froze the last couple uncooked ones for an easy meal during the week. Thank you!!

  17. Made these tonight, it’s just me so I halved the recipe, made them to the stage of just dry frying but only cooked 1 for tonight and froze the rest. A great addition to my curry meals! Thanks Nik and Lailah

    1. I made these last night for a friend who is celiac. I used gluten free flour. I smeared garlic paste inside with some chopped coriander and cheese and she said they were fabulous. The dough took a bit of working to get it to pull together but once I threw it on a webber bbq it toasted up nicely . Really yummy with the ghee butter!

  18. These are amazing – tasty – fool proof – delicious!! Thankyou for a wonderful recipe!!
