Thermomix Lemon Butter Chicken Recipe

Sharing is caring!

The Creamy Lemon Butter Chicken from Lala’s Kitchen is one of those Thermomix recipes that you will want to add to your regular meal plan.

This recipe is perfect for anyone on a Low Carb Healthy Fat (LCHF) diet, but also for anyone that loves a full flavour sauce that is amazing with Skinnymixer’s Silky Sweet Potato Mash.

A massive thank-you to Karla D’Lima (Lala’s Kitchen) for letting us feature this delicious Thermomix recipe whilst Nik is away doing research & development for an upcoming cookbook in Europe (lucky girl!!!).

If you haven’t yet checked out Karla’s other recipes like the Chunky & Creamy Beef Curry , Chicken & Sweet Corn Soup or Calderetta (Filipino Beef Stew) then I strongly suggest you give them a go!

This is quite a popular recipe in the Skinnymixers Facebook Group and I thought I would compile a list of tips from other Skinnies 😉

  • Serve with Nik’s Silky Sweet Potato Mash
  • Make it dairy free using coconut cream & coconut oil/ Nuttlex
  • Add some risoni into the pan when baking to soak up some of the delicious sauce.
  • Add different vegetables into the tray to bake in the sauce… delicious with broccolini, cherry tomatoes, beans and “apparently” garlic fried mushrooms.
  • Freeze leftover sauce in ice-cubes to make some delicious Creamy Lemon Butter LCHF Chicken Kievs.
  • You can use any piece of chicken (breast, drumsticks, thighs, boneless or boned) or even salmon for a seafood option
  • Add a tablespoon of arrowroot / cornflour for a thicker sauce
  • Add a cup of rice into the bottom of the dish with 1 cup extra liquid stock.

Lovely chicken, but I found using the Thermomix redundant. Just brown the chicken in a pan that goes on the stove top and in the oven.

    1. I use pure cream and it works fine. Might just need to thicken to the consistency you like. I also add rice to the bottom of the dish and that soaks a bit of the sauce up

Indian food is known for its variety of traditional spices, rich herbs and sassy sauces. With advancing times and globalization Indian food is becoming famous all over the world.

  3. Made this dish super easy and the smell was amazing. Put brown rice in the bottom and added a few cherry tomatoes and Zuchini chopped as well as the extra stock.

Next level amazing! I make this a lot. I have to stop myself drinking the sauce before it goes into the oven!
If you havnt made it.. MAKE IT. You won’t regret it.

I added the extra cup of stock and rice to the tray as suggested, and cooked with broccolini and chopped carrot. Was divine! Even better the next day for lunch. That sauce in the rice was amazeballs. Won’t put the broccolini in for the whole cooking time next time though as the tops were a little crunchy. Still tasted good though. Def making this one again.

The best, l added risoni to the bottom of the baking dish to absorb the flavours and some of the sauce. Every one loved it and now its a regular Sunday night dinner, specially if we have a new guest, and the recipe goes home with them.

  8. I have been meaning to try this recipe for ages. Made it for the first time tonight in an effort to change up my weekly meal ideas (they’re getting a bit boring) and I was completely underwhelmed, I followed the recipe to the letter, it just lacked flavour, it wad just chicken thigh with a bit of paprika. There was no lemon flavour to this dish what so ever.. I have no idea what I could have done wrong as everyone else seems to rave about it?? But we thought it was bland 🙁

    1. My first time was super underwhelming as well
Tried it a second time and added much much more lemon and it was amazing! Also used chicken breast as I don’t like any other cuts of chicken

  9. I love this dish and have been making it for over a year. I like to serve it with pearl cous cous because I just love the texture of it. This sauce is just completely drinkable too. Super delicious.
