  • 250 g bacon - roughly cut into large chunks
  • 500 g brussels sprouts - ends removed and halved
  • 1 / 3 cup of olive oil
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Set your frying pan to medium-high heat.
  • Add 250 g or 8.8 oz bacon to mixer bowl, chop for 20 sec/speed 4/MC on. Scrape the bowl out into the frying pan and let the bacon dry-fry while you prepare the sprouts.

  1. I’m not sure 20sec to chop the brussel sprouts is accurate. I chopped for 10 seconds and they were nearly pulverised to nothing. Still used them as why not! Still tasted lovely but not able to caramelise as sprouts were too mushy. Obviously got it wrong!

I added some chilli flakes and served with goats cheese sprinkled on top then added poached egg. Absolutely delicious.
