THMVI: Teriyaki Sushi Bowl

Leilani & Patrick ask me almost every single day on the walk home from school if we can have Sushi for dinner. We are lucky enough to have a Sushi Train across the road from our home, but I try to make sure that we don’t eat out too frequently. Every time I say no, they come back and ask if we can make sushi for dinner instead. I don’t know if you have ever made Sushi, but it is absolutely a skill! This flavour explosion sushi bowl is not only incredibly easy to make with layered cooking, but it’s healthy too. The best part is my kids no longer have to miss out.

  • honey or maple syrup

  • edamame beans frozen, deshelled

  • avocado sliced
  • purple cabbage
  • pickled ginger
  • nori strips

  • soy sauce
  • black sesame seeds
