skinnymixer's Healthy Hoisin Sauce

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup soy sauce, tamari or coconut aminos
  • 2 Tbsp roasted seed butter, tahini, almond butter or peanut butter (no added salt)
  • 4 Tbsp brown sugar, coconut sugar or compliant low carb granular sweetener
  • 1 Tbsp rice vinegar or balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp garlic infused olive oil or 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 Tbsp water
  • ½ tsp Chinese Five Spice
  • ¼ tsp xanthan gum

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to mixer bowl and mix 10 sec/speed 7/MC on. Scrape mixer bowl down and repeat if required.
  • Cook for 10 min/100°C/Speed 1/MC on or until reduced and starting to thicken.
  • Store in the fridge for up to 3 weeks.
