Freezer Meal Prep – Dinners 3

Sharing is caring!

The Freezer Meal Prep Inspiration Guide can be found in the Meal Plan Collection Download as part of the Dinners 3 Presale Bonuses.

Dump Bags have taken the meal prep internet by storm, particularly for people who want to have an easy dinner ready when they get home after work but don’t like the taste of reheated frozen dinners.

QR CODES: Use the QR code on each of the recipes in the book to view the detailed step-by-step instructions on ‘How to MAke as a Dump Bag’.

PLEASE NOTE: These ‘Dump Bags’ are for the Slow Cooker variations in the book – for use in actual slow cookers. They have not been written for the TM6 Slow Cook Function.

The Skinnymixers community have been asking for a dump bag collection of Thermomix recipes, but we don’t particularly love the term ‘Dump Bags’. So here is our version!

If you are time poor and wish dinner was ready for you when you walked in the door, then this might be just what you need!

Some key points…

  • You will find the Freezer Prep Meal Plan + Labels on p.12-15 of the ‘THMD3 Meal Plan Collection’ PDF that you can download from the same link as your eBook.

You can find the Freezer meal prep guide in your Meal Plan Collection download

If you like to prep in advance, it helps:

⭐️ to utilise the time you have in the kitchen

⭐️ bulk-buying ingredients

⭐️ by doubling up your prep means double dinners, in less than double the time

These recipes have been chosen as you can prepare, freeze and then defrost and cook at a later time with a slow cooker or pressure cooker in particular. You will find the slow cooker variation in the Dinners 3 book downloads (Refer to the file called “Meal Prep Collection”)

How do I attach the labels?

  • Find the sticker page at the end of the Meal Plan Collection PDF.
  • print the labels onto sticker labels (available from Officeworks or similar locations),
  • print onto paper and tape/contact them on or
  • to use more than once you can print and laminate to attach

What do I freeze the meal prep in?

  • strong large zip lock bags
  • vacuum seal bags
  • containers

Note – If you are using bags and the recipe has been cooked (ie sauce prepared and is hot) cool the contents before adding to the bag and before freezing.

Do I brown the meat?

Traditional meal prep bags (aka dump bags) no they dont. But if you prefer to brown your meat I suggest you freeze the meat seperate so on the day you can brown it before combining with rest of the ingredients.

Do I add the dairy?

These aren’t traditional dump bags recipes I have seen online (where they literally add all ingredients to a bag). We cook our sauces before adding to slow cooker to reduce and develop flavour (and in this case for bags – cool mixture first). So if there is dairy added its already cooked, if added later its noted on the slow cooker variation to add towards end of cook so this will be added on the day fresh – not frozen. If the meal does happen to split the cornflour mixture brings it back together.

What other meals can I do this for?

You can make utilise any of our slow cooker recipes or variations for meal prep bags.
