Made for dinner tonight and served with cheese, garlic & herb bread. Absolutely loved this bean stew
The lemon zest stirred in at the end adds a nice tangy flavour to this dish.

“Fancy Baked Beans” Only had 1 can of Cannellini beans left in the pantry so I used 1 can of beans & 1 can of chickpeas. Delicious
. It’s absolutely horrendous weather here today wild winds & heavy rain some flooding, traffic lights are out.
I didn’t want to venture out to the shops. This was beautiful warmed our tummies. Mr 13 said “it tastes like fancy baked beans”. I think it would be awesome with a poached egg on toast. – Leia S. - I made this with butter beans just because we like the creaminess of them. Kids gobbled it up. – Nicole K.
- Lets start with – My name is Tara and I don’t do Meatless Mondays. UNTIL NOW!!! I honestly was thinking “Meatless Meh” when I saw this recipe but WOWZERS!! This dish was incredible! The lemon zest stirred through was a delight. Sharon Maree mentioned this would be good with Gnocchi, HELL YEAH!!! If I needed to serve up a dish for a large crowd I would definitely consider pouring this entire dish over a platter of gnocchi. It would feed a village. The other suggestion of serving with a poached egg at breakfast, bit of sourdough for a dippy dip – absolutely!! This was up there with Lazy Lasagna for me. – Tara L.
