FAQ Section

Do I need a Thermomix® to make this?
No. The recipe includes both Thermomix® and traditional stovetop methods including slow cooker and oven.

Can I make it ahead of time?
Yes, but keep the dressing separate until just before serving. Mix everything together right before eating so the watermelon stays crisp and the feta doesn’t dissolve.

How long does it keep?
Once assembled, it’s best eaten within a few hours. If stored separately, the salad ingredients and dressing will keep in the fridge for up to 1-2 days. But it is best eaten fresh.

Can I use another cheese instead of feta?
Yes. Try goat’s cheese, ricotta salata, or even cubes of halloumi (grilled first) for a different texture and flavour.

Can I make this dairy-free?
Absolutely — just leave out the feta or replace it with a dairy-free alternative or avocado.

What can I serve it with?
It pairs beautifully with grilled meats, halloumi skewers, chicken souvlaki, seafood, or as part of a mezze spread.

Can I add extra ingredients?
Yes. Avocado or a sprinkle of toasted nuts or seeds work well.

What if I can’t get Watermelon?
Try using rockmelon or strawberries.
