Skinnymixer’s Za’atar Spice Mix features in the Basics section of the cookbook SkinnyMediterranean.
The Za’atar Spice Mix is a cookbook exclusive recipe…
I adore the bold aromatic flavours of this Lebanese inspired Za’atar Spice Mix (pronounced Zaah-tar). If you have never had Sumac before, it is quite zesty & tangy!
Please Note: We tested toasting the sesame seeds in the Thermomix and on the stovetop and found that toasting in the Thermomix didn’t bring out the required flavour and just wasn’t as good for this recipe!
What can I use Za’atar Spice Mix for?
- Serve with olive oil and bread for dipping.
- On top of eggs
- Sprinkled on some ripe tomatoes
- Baked on Pita Bread to make Manooshi!
What is the Za’atar Spice Mix used for in SkinnyMediterranean?
