Skinnymixer’s Spinach & Feta Gözleme features in the Mezze section of the cookbook SkinnyMediterranean.
The Spinach & Feta Gözleme is a cookbook exclusive recipe…
If you’ve ever strolled through a market in Greece, Turkey or even Australia, you’ve probably come across Gözleme – thin, golden flatbreads cooked on a hot plate and filled with savoury goodness. This Spinach & Feta Gozleme from SkinnyMediterranean brings that street-food experience into your kitchen, with simple ingredients and step-by-step instructions. It’s crisp on the outside, a little higher in protein by using a yoghurt dough, soft in the middle, and bursting with flavour.
This recipe is easy to follow with both Thermomix® and traditional methods, so you don’t need any special equipment to enjoy homemade gozleme. Spinach and feta is a classic filling, but once you’ve mastered the dough you can try lamb, mushroom, or mixed vegetable variations.
Gozleme makes a perfect quick lunch, family dinner, or entertaining platter. Serve it with a fresh Greek salad, Maroulosalata (Greek Lettuce Salad), a dollop of tzatziki, or simply squeeze over a little lemon juice. You can also cook and freeze them ahead of time, ready to reheat in a hot pan whenever you need a fast meal.
This healthy Mediterranean flatbread is included in SkinnyMediterranean alongside 60+ recipes inspired by Greece, Italy, France, Morocco and the Middle East. If you love cooking dishes that feel special but are easy enough for weeknights, this recipe is a must-try.
