🌶️ Hot Honey – Thermomix & Stovetop Recipe

This Hot Honey was first shared in my SkinnyAmerica cookbook drizzled over some delicious Hot Honey Not Fried Chicken, and I honestly didn’t expect it to get as much love as it has!

But after we released the free Hot Honey Beef & Sweet Potato Protein Bowl recipe &  Cornbread Veggie Bake recipe…

The posts and  messages started rolling in:
“Nik… can I just get the hot honey on its own?”

So here it is — your new favourite sauce to drizzle over anything and everything.

💥 What Makes It So Good?

This recipe is all about sweet heat. It’s the perfect balance of runny honey and warming chilli, with a little vinegar for tang and depth. What I love about it is how quick and clean it is — no thickeners, preservatives, or weird additives. Just simple pantry staples.

It’s also:

  • ✅ Thermomix and stovetop friendly

  • ✅ Gluten free

  • ✅ Dairy free

  • ✅ Preservative free

  • ✅ Easy to batch and store

🌶️ Adjust the Heat to Your Taste

Not a fan of spicy? You can completely control how much heat goes in — start with a small pinch of chilli flakes and build up. If you’re someone who likes a proper kick, go ahead and add extra or even use fresh chilli.

If you go a bit overboard, add a little more honey or vinegar to mellow it back out.

🍯 How to Use Hot Honey

There are so many ways to use this — once you’ve got a jar in the fridge, it ends up going on everything. A few community favourites:

🧊 Storage Tips

Store in a clean glass jar or bottle in the fridge — it’ll keep for a few weeks no problem. The sauce will firm up a little when cold (thanks to the honey), but just give it a stir or leave it out for a few minutes before using.

I don’t recommend freezing it, but it’s so quick to make fresh that it’s really not needed.
