Lailah’s Cheese & Spinach Garlic Naan has been a fan-favourite Thermomix recipe for as long as I can remember! Years ago, she graciously shared it as a guest recipe, and now we’re thrilled to include it here for you.
Plus, we’ve added two brand-new flavour variations and a delicious Cumin Butter.
Some other flavour combinations:

- Herb & Garlic: 1 large handful fresh coriander or parsley added in step 1. For extra garlic hit, chop 1 clove garlic before cooking cumin butter for lathering.
- Paneer & Cheddar Cheese: Grate 1 packet of paneer and mix through with the cheddar cheese.

Here are some of the best tips or hacks for the perfect Naan.
- If you need Gluten Free Naan – you can use Gluten Free Flours, however most commercial gluten-free flours with xanthan gum will work. The mix will be sticky and delicate to work with.
- Make sure your rolling surface and hands are covered in flour, this helps if your dough is a little too sticky.
- Feel free to change the fillings and the flavours– if you don’t like spinach… no problem!
- Nigella Seeds can be difficult to come by. Grandma’s Pantry Online stocks them and your local Indian Supermarket or The Source Bulk Foods should also have them.
