thermomix thai basil rice

This is a fragrant, colourful and flavoursome side dish or complete meal on it’s own. A healthier spin on traditional fried rice, which can also be adapted for low carb dietary requirements with cauliflower rice.

  1. This is one of my favourite dishes for its versatility and ease of cooking. It doesn’t matter if you don’t have what’s in the recipe, you just use what you have.

  2. I finally bought the book with the new ALToS release and this was the first recipe I made last week. Wow, so, so delicious. I even made a batch for family and they loved it.
Love the flavours. I added chicken. Think I’ll try with prawns next time.
Thanks Nik and Team, amazing 😍

  3. Absolutely tasty! And super simple! Husband needed extra chilli, I needed extra soy, happy I have an extra serve for lunch tomorrow!

  4. Can you make this with brown rice and if so, does the time change and the amount of water change? It looks delicious, Thanks

  5. This is a fab recipe! The kids love it, we love it and whenever I make it for others they love it too. The Cauli variation also works really well when I’m low carbing.

  6. We love this recipe too ! Its perfect as is but the last time i made it we were having the Malaysian Satay Chicken so i added 2 tablespoons of peanut paste to the dressing and gave it a satay twist !

  7. Made this tonight and it’s now on my weekly meal plan! Absolutely simple and delicious. I’d pay $15 for this recipe alone from ALTOA book…and to top it off, my 4 most favourite words “without washing the bowl” thanks so much Nikalene xx your a gem!
