Creamy Garlic Sauce Thermomix recipe
One of my favourite simple dinners is pan-fried chicken breast, with rustic mash potato (lower carb ones) and my creamy garlic sauce. Heaven.

Perfect for those nights where you don’t know what to make for dinner. Grab some garlic, butter, cream and fresh herbs of choice (sometimes I only use parsley) and serve this delicious low carb & gluten free sauce over your choice of steak, chicken, fish, seafood or vegetables.

  3. We absolutely love this sauce on steak, chicken, pork chops, seafood anything at all really! Another 5 star recipe from Nik!

  4. I just made this to go over eye fillet steak with prawns on top ( the ol’ reef & beef ). My husband loves it…said he’d be happy if he got the meal in a restaurant. The sauce is so easy to make and so delicious! Thanks

  5. What if I don’t have sage in the house?? – Oh well, just need to leave it out as I simply have no access to dried or fresh one today. I will leave how it turned out. I’ll serve it with salmon and veggies.

    1. 5 stars
I add in green prawn at about 4 mins into the bitter cooking. Reverse the blades. Cook for another 3 then add cream etc. ammmmmazingb

  6. Wow!!! So good with steak and prawns. I have made several times with different herbs and a bit more cream.

  7. This was fantatstic – had it with some crayfish and was beautiful. I did only use half the garlic and was plenty garlicky 🙂

  8. Tonight I tried the Creamy Garlic Sauce for the first time. I halved the recipe as it was only for me.
While it was doing its thing for 5 minutes I realised that I had 1/2 an avo that needed using up. So in it went. The sauce was going over steamed veggies (broccoli and asparagus), so I decided to toss them in to in the last 2 minutes (left over from the night before). Wallah! It was delish and served it up with some lean lamb chops. Thanks Nik – great recipe.

  9. This is a delicious sauce and I can’t wait to try it on other meats. We had it on porterhouse steak and it was amazing. My other half turned up his nose but was well and truly converted by the end of our meal. I only used 2 garlic cloves and found that was sufficient for us. Once again for a delicious recipe. X

  10. So good!
I didn’t have sage so I used dried marjoram. I also thickened it slightly with cornflour in the last 30 seconds.
    Yum!

  11. Tried this tonight and it was amazing on steak, home made chips and veggies! Can’t wait to try it with added prawns for a surf n turf meal!

  12. Made a double batch and stirred in some spinach and leftover steak…served it with pasta…so delicious!

    1. I’m going to make it dairy free and will use ghee and coconut cream. Failing that, I will use the carbonara sauce and add extra garlic.

  13. Poured this over our King Island Porterhouse tonight! Yum! Even got a compliment from my husband! That’s as rare as hens teeth!

  14. Loved the creamy garlic sauce tonight. Hubby cooked up surf & turf and this was perfect, so much better than what you can get at a steakhouse or club, yet another reason to stay at home!

  15. Wow! This was delish. Just like something you’d get in a restaurant. I think I’ll double the quantities next time. I served it with prawns and Zoodles which soak up all the cream.

  16. Just ate an entire batch of this, over zoodles, with prawns (added them in the last 2 minutes….)

Incredibly delicious. Feels so naughty but really isn’t – and I managed to prepare and eat it all so fast I didn’t need to share 😉

  17. Yum! I’ve just made using ghee and coconut cream. I added some prawns to the bowl and cooked an extra few minutes on reverse. served over zoodles. . Delightful!!

  18. Home from a week’s holiday and start to pull together an early dinner with a 2 1/2 yo and 6 month old at 4 o’clock… Nik’s beautiful Garlic Sauce recipe jazzes up an otherwise basic, slap together meal! Fussy hubby even said… “WIN! WIN! WIN! WIN!” Thanks Nik! And congrats on celebrity status! 😛

  19. Great versatile sauce. I have used for garlic prawns and to make smashed potato bake and it worked perfectly for both.

  20. Thank you Nik!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I would never have dreamed of cooking such a delicious sauce…you, me and thermie make a great team 😉

  21. This is second time making it, properly this time omg so easy and quick had it with prawns eye fillet!! DIVINE xx you can’t put a foot wrong Nik

  22. I didn’t have any sage & only used half the garlic. Second time I’ve made this & today we had it on steak & prawns. It was the perfect surf & turf.

  23. Just delicious. Spread it over Skinnymixer pita wraps with a bit of sour cream, along with some shredded leftover roast beef, and some salad – divine! I’m definitely scoring brownie points with the husband thanks to these recipes. Thanks yet again

  24. Cannot believe how tasty and how easy it was to whip up an impressive garlic prawns using this sauce. Absolutely gorgeous meal!

  25. We just love this sauce! So easy and so delicious on steak or chicken with prawns. I have made it several times and never failed – even when we have had dinner guests and I needed to double it. Thank you for another amazing recipe 🙂

  26. So good and so easy!! I’ve had this on Silverside and fillet steak and it’s amazing. Keep the mints handy, the garlic kick is a big one!

  27. This is awesome! I made a double batch and put half in the freezer. I used the fresh batch for garlic prawns and the freezer batch thawed out perfectly for reef and beef.

This is definitely 5 star restaurant quality!

  28. Wow! Gorgeous taste and lovely smooth texture! A dangerous find as soooo easy and soooooo yum!!! Had with steak but would be breath taking with prawns!!!

  29. Had large cooked prawns and some rice in the freezer so this was a quick and perfect sauce to make. I don’t know how many serves it is supposed to make but I ate the lot in one serve LOL. Better than any garlic prawns I’ve had in any restaurant, thanks for the recipe.

  30. Yummo!! I made your fabulous pita breads, chopped up left over roast chicken and mixed it in with your amazing sauce, and served it all with chopped lettuce, tomatoes and cucumber. A divine ‘help yourself’ dinner!!

  31. First night had it on our scotch fillet. Second night over steamed chicken with brown rice.
I love this!!!! Love love love

  32. OMG just made this again, this time to go on paleo chicken snitz as I had forgotten to buy mushrooms for the sauce. He wasn’t dissapointed AT ALL. Love it, keep up the great work.

  33. Sooooooooooooooooooooo good. I transferred it to a fry pan and cooked the prawns in it. Best garlic sauce i have EVER tasted.

  34. Seriously the best creamy garlic sauce I’ve ever had! I made it to go with prawns that my toddler demolished & proceeded to dip her pieces of salad into the leftover sauce. Thank you for another awesome recipe! xx

  35. Super good! I had it today with chicken that had been cooking away in slow cooker all day. Really can’t get much easier dinner then this.

  36. Yum!!! So so good. We served with a “reef and beef”. Scotch fillet topped with prawns and some Baked vegies. So yum I went back for mor vegies just to dip them in the sauce.

  37. What a beautiful sauce that took 5 minutes to make. I had some cooked prawns in the fridge, quickly steamed rice while I made the sauce and simply put it all together. Voila garlic prawns! Fussy husband was happy and it was delicious. Not left feeling heavy and full. Can’t wait to try it on other things.

  38. Wow – Amazing – Simple – Quick – perfect for my fish tonight. Husband also liked it. Will double next time as there was only enough for the fish and wanted more for my veggies 🙂

  39. OMG Nikalene this sauce is beautiful. We had it tonight with steak, sweet potato mash and asparagus. Such a tasty dish thanks to your sauce 🙂 Thank you!

  40. Another winner, so gorgeous and moreish !! The whole family loved it, will definitely be a regular – on everything !! Thanks so much 🙂

  41. This is delicious! I doubled the recipe but halved the garlic to just 3 cloves of the purplish looking garlic you can buy, it was strong enough for us! Served it with steamed white fish fillets and vegetables 🙂 Thanks Nikalene, another favourite 🙂

  42. This is such a delicious, simple and versatile recipe. My whole family loved it and we’ll definitely be having it again. Thanks again Nikalene

  43. So quick so easy and so YUMMY!! this is definitely going to be my new go to sauce!! I had it over steak but it will go with everything 🙂 Thanks nik

  44. Amazing!!! Best garlic sauce I’ve had! Didn’t leave that heavy, sick feeling in your belly you can sometimes get when you have the naughty versions.

  45. This was delicious served over fish, as the above comment suggested I’ll double the recipe next time to pour over my vegetables as well.

  46. OMG this is to die for. Great on top of steamed vegetables. Next time I will double the recipe as there wasn’t quite enough for us all. That might have been because I used thickened cream. A great LCHF, grain free sauce. Thanks Nik

  47. What a simple and awesome sauce. I’m not really into sauces but made this to go with our corned beef for dinner. It was a real winner. My almost two year old loved it and is licking the spoon clean. I only added two cloves of garlic, I use the purple Australian garlic which is quite strong, which was perfect for us.
