If you have never had this classic poached chicken and fragrant rice dish, it is truly a classic & much-loved recipe in Singapore.
When we made it in the Skinny test kitchen I think I stood there for a good 20 min just dipping chicken into that Green Ginger Sauce… don’t forget to make the Sambal too, it pairs so perfectly!
This Hainanese Chicken Rice isn’t a traditional recipe, just our Skinnymixer’s take on it. Steaming the chicken in the Thermomix produces incredibly moist chicken and the flavour drips down onto the rice as it cooks the broth underneath.
Although the Sambal isn’t a traditional part of Hainanese Chicken Rice, it is a delicious take on a garlic chilli sauce that it would traditionally be served with.
For all our Low Carb Skinnymixers the cauliflower rice version is just as delicious!
