  1. Made this last night:
-with chicken for the seafood hating husband
-about half a bottle of passata instead of tomato paste (using it up)
    -no spinach
-coconut cream so it would be DF
-omitted water and cooked pasta on stovetop (normal for husband, GF for me)

It was great! I made it when ALTOIt first came out and wasn’t overly impressed, but I think using the passata was a positive change

I make this dish a bit differently, I don’t cook the pasta in the sauce.
I make it just as a sauce and use ravioli for the pasta (pumpkin and feta is perfect for the sauce).
I freeze the sauce and the ravioli and use it as my “I can’t be bothered day”.

    The favours are perfect

  3. 5 stars
The kids and husband love pasta, so this was a winner all round. I couldn’t get enough prawns, so added some pan fried barramundi to it and it was awesome!

  4. OMG this is so delicious!
I made salami version as not a fan of prawns. Also hubby doesn’t like cheese, so this was a great pasta for him

  5. This recipe is awesome, have been making it regularly since I purchased the book. There is usually enough left for lunch the next day, and reheats well. Thank you Nikalene

  6. A big wow from me- I doubted how amazing it could taste just looking at the ingredients, but Nikalene you’re a food magician.

I actually used almonds that I turned in to almond meal and I also used a Bellini and cooked the pasta for approx 8 mins longer. Truly it couldn’t have been any better

  7. O.M.G!!!! Loved by all the family, kids included! Husband asked if I could make it again soon….. like for breakfast tomorrow 😂😂😂😂👍👍👍👍👍

  8. 2nd time even better than the first. Made this with chicken and it’s just delicious. 16yo asked after first mouthful “there’s more right?”…. and also said, make sure you leave some leftovers for me.

    Winning every which way.

  9. Made this with chicken and without pasta. Was delicious but the nuts remained a bit crunchy. next time I might blitz the nut/shallot/garlic mixture after the initial cooking to make a smoother sauce.

  10. What a delicious dish , 10 out of 10 I made it with prawns and the family loved it …can’t wait to try the rest of the recipes from this gorgeous book xx

  11. So delicious and quick. Made with cows cream and prawns the first time and it was a hit and have also tried chicken and bacon with half cow/half coconut cream (ran out of cows cream) and it was still yummy!

  12. Had it with chicken and salami as the kids don’t eat prawns. It was delicious! Can’t wait to try it with prawns!

  13. Unfortunately I have a non seafood eating family 😭 so I made this with chicken & bacon it was amazing the sauce was very flavoursome this is a very versatile recipe .. delicious 😋
    Love Melly Moo xx
