Pastitsio Skinnymixers Greek

Any time there is a family function or a big group of us to feed, my Mum is guaranteed to cook her famous Pastitsio… and while this recipe is far from “skinny”, it would not be “A Little Taste of Greece” without it. I hope you can forgive me for this 😉

The best part about this Thermomix recipe is that you can use half the meat sauce to make Pastitsio for the family and the other half to make Moussaka, top with a double batch of the Bechamel and you have 2 different dinners made!

I have made this twice and it is much loved by all! Just want to know, can the meat sauce be made 1.5 times recipe in the thermomix? I am hoping to make a bigger batch as it goes too quickly 😉

One of our family’s favourites since our first taste. Chubby mixers version here 😅 Thanks so much Nik and team xx

  4. I made this last night.

I pre-cooked my GF pasta on the stovetop (slightly under cooking to allow for completion in the oven). Meat sauce cooked as per recipe, then the skinny bechamel option so it could be DF.

I didn’t mind it, it wouldn’t be top of my re-make list, but I’d be happy to have it again. Unfortunately my husband didn’t feel the same and did not enjoy it at all. He didn’t fancy the cinnamon in the meat sauce, although I’m yet to get him to articulate what else he didn’t like.

The upside is it makes plenty to feed a family.

Absolutely delicious! I made a 1.5x batch of the meat sauce and skinnies bechamel and used them to make a smaller batch of both this dish and the moussaka. The family loved this pasta dish (a big win because the kids usually dislike lasagne). This will be on high rotation.
