Savoury Mince Thermomix recipe
Savoury Mince

Sharing is caring!

Much like many families across Australia, Savoury Mince was a staple in my family home. As an adult, I have come to learn that it was often relied on when money was a little tight and there were seven hungry mouths to feed. Being an old family favourite, this is the Thermomix version I have developed for my family to enjoy for the years to come. I encourage you to add different seasonings or spices to make it your own. P.S. this isn’t as good

as my mum’s!

  1. Made for the first time last week, as a non-savoury mince lover when growing up (my mums seemed more gravy based, where this was more tomato sauce based) I quite enjoyed it.

i halved the mince (it is just my husband and I, so 500g made 2 good meals + leftovers) and sauce ingredients although we would have liked it a little more saucy. Next time I think I’ll do a three-quarter sauce to half-recipe mince ratio and see how that goes.

  2. I made this using the stove top pressure cooker method in the book tonight using 1.5kg of Thermomix made beef mince and added extra potato, sweet potato and frozen veggies to make enough for lunches and freezer stash. I did not add extra sauce ingredients. It was a nice simple recipe served with steamed greens and enjoyed by the whole family we will make again and maybe try in a grain free pie 🥧
