If you are looking for a dinner to impress, the Coq au Vin Blanc from the Thermomix cookbook A Little Taste of France is exactly what you need. Coq au Vin is a very classic, rustic French dish that is usually made with red wine—but I thought that the Blanc or White Wine variation would be well received.
It is such a flavourful, comforting dish, and while I could have created a quick thermo cooker version for you to enjoy, I felt that I needed to do it justice and incorporate the traditional stovetop method.
Take care to choose a quality drinking white wine—I prefer a Chardonnay from the Burgundy region—to get the most authentic taste possible. I’ve found the French Chardonnays taste quite different to Australian Chardonnays, so if you aren’t a Chardonnay fan I strongly encourage you to find a nice French Chardonnay.
You will find that you will have enough wine left after this recipe to also cook the Pork Fillet Dinner with Béarnaise Sauce & Chicken Chasseur from A Little Taste of France.

This rustic classic French dish is perfect for a dinner party or a comforting dinner. It is unbelievable just how much flavour is in this dish. It is important to find a nice white wine that you would drink, as the flavour comes from the wine.
