SkinnyAmerica Biscuits

Sharing is caring!

Skinnymixer’s Biscuits features in the Breakfast section of the cookbook SkinnyAmerica.

The Biscuits are a cookbook exclusive recipe…

I want to clear something up straight away – American Biscuits are nothing like British Scones

While scones have a lovely crumbly texture, the buttery layered texture of biscuits is achieved by folding the dough repeatedly.

These definitely aren’t what I would call a “skinny” meal choice, but we have managed to at least produce authentic results with only a fraction of the fat used typically.

Enjoy these smothered in Sausage Gravy for a rib sticking breakfast, or use as biscuit dumplings on top of the Chickpea Pot Pie (or any other yummy baked casserole).

One thing I am particularly excited about are the Gluten-free Biscuits! Our gluten-free testers on the recipe development team were in heaven when first trying these!
