Skinnymixer's Peanut Butter

Sharing is caring!

Skinnymixer’s Peanut Butter recipe is my new favourite creamy, smooth peanut butter! The best part is that you can control the amount of oil, sugar and salt in this healthier peanut butter.

We have been flying through peanut butter in the Skinnymixers Test Kitchen making the new Peanut Butter Cups in the new book SkinnyAmerica out 27th September!

A sneak peek of the Peanut Butter Cups in SkinnyAmerica!

When I first made this peanut butter, I honestly couldn’t stop eating it.

I messaged the team and said it is the BEST tasting peanut butter I have ever tasted

It really isn’t difficult, and can be done in 10 minutes.

What you will need to make Homemade Peanut Butter:

All you need is some roasted peanuts and a Thermomix or a food processor. The light tasting oil, vanilla paste and maple syrup is optional.

In most cases you won’t need to add any oil, the peanuts should release their own natural oil as they are processed. It is important to use roasted peanuts though to release the oils.

If you do end up needing to add oil, you need to make sure it is light tasting or you will taste it in the final product.

How to make your own Nut Butter

As you can see in the process photos, the more the peanuts are processed the more oil is released. If it is cold at your place when making, you may find it takes a little extra time for the process to release the oils.

If you are wanting to feed some peanut butter to your dog, make sure you use unsalted roasted peanuts and add only 1 pinch of salt

The same recipe can be used using other roasted nuts like cashews, macadamias and almonds.

If you are Nut Free, we highly recommend the Roasted Seed Butter recipe.

We’ve included both Thermomix and Conventional methods for a Smooth Peanut Butter and a Crunchy Peanut Butter.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to 1 month.
Note: For Conventional, your food processor should be proportional to the amount of peanuts used for the nuts to process correctly. Don't make a halved amount, unless it is really small.
Nut Free: We recommend making the Roasted Seed Butter recipe.
Low Carb: Replace peanuts with roasted macadamias and almonds. Use 1 tsp compliant sweetener.
Paleo: Replace peanuts with cashews.
Halved: This recipe can be halved, although you may need to repeat steps to achieve the consistency.
